AMED
Located in the Rezed town of Amed, Koşuyolu Park has been closed for 20 days with barriers. The action of the mothers in front of the old flour mill in front of Koşuyolu Park is on its 19th day.
In spite of all the intimidation policies of the occupying police, mothers who gather infront of the flour mill every day, have growing support from citizens. The Mothers’ sitting action passes through the occupying police blockade, while mothers try to deliver their voices with their slogans, the whistles they blow and the songs they sing.
The occupying police, who prevented the press from filming the mothers in many different ways and, are currently standing infront of the mothers with a large number of Social Transactions Instrument (TOMA) to stop them from being filmed. They threaten to arrest citizens who support mothers!
The mothers were joined in their action by the HDP Amed Deputies Semra Guzel, Remziye Tosun, Saliha Aydeniz, Hishyar Ozsoy, Musa Farisogullari, and HDP Provincial Co-Presidents and (DBP) Provincial and district organizations and a large number of citizens.
The occupying police continued to not allow male activists join the women today, in an attempt to contain the numbers. They tried to remove the citizens who gathered to support the mothers in the action and those who reacted to this issue were threatened with detention.
’IT IS NOT A CRIME TO WANT MY CHILD TO LIVE`
The mothers chanted “Long Live the Resistance of The Prisons”.
After the sitting act, mothers marched with slogans. The dialogue between a mother and the occupying police drew attention before the march. “You are walking and gathering here is prohibited, you are committing a crime “, said the police, to which the mother said “maybe you are the same age as my child. I am not here to commit crime, I don’t want my child dead. If you banish us from here, or throw a bomb at us again, we will still come back.”
The occupying police said that Leyla Güven slagans are illegal
Those who wanted to support the mothers were also included in the walk. Hundreds of people marched into the TUAY-DER building with slogans and whistles. During the march, the announcers frequently responded by chanting slogans at the invading policemen who threatened to interfere becasuse of the illegal slogans.
When the slogan `Daxwaza Leyla daxwaza me ye“ (Leylas Demand is Our Demand) was thrown, the police became violent.
The mass came in front of the TUAY-DER building followed by a speach of captive Hızal Yildirims mother. She made a statement on behalf of all mothers of captive children. ’If the funerals come, then AKP is responsible. As mothers, we want to end these strikes and isolations. Our children are melting, they are hungry. If something happens to our children, their death is because of the government. We want our children’s demands to be heard. No matter they do to us, we’re going to be out on the street every day. Let them know this very well. We’ll do anything to make our children be heard she said.
