HPG BİM announced the identities of two YJA Star guerrillas who were killed in the clash with the occupying Turkish army on May 8 in Mêrdîn’s Omerya district.
In our statement dated May 13, 2019, we stated that on 8 May, a unit that was on duty in Çalê area of Omerya (Ömerli) district of Mardin came across the occupying Turkish army soldiers and entered into a conflict.
After this conflict, our unit clashed with the occupiers in the area of Tehnavê. Sema (Hatice İbrahimpur) and Agırin (Hanım Çelik) comrades who have hit the enemy forces with heavy blows have fought heroically until their last bullets against the enemy.

Born, 1991, in Maku of Rojhilat; comrade Sema witnessed the genocide and destruction policies against the people of Kurdistan at a young age. Sema, who recognizes the struggle of the Liberation given by the Peoples Leader Abdullah Ocalan and the Kurdistan Freedom Guerillas against genocide policies, joins the guerrilla ranks. Sema, who joined the ranks of the PKK as an Azeri girl in 2006, takes her place with the determination to sacrifice for the leadership and its people. Comrade Sema, who saw the freedom of the people of Kurdistan as the freedom of her own people, was an Azeri woman who fought valiantly against the occupiers who were the enemies of humanity on the forefront of Kurdistan.
Our comrade Sema, who has deepened in the Free Women’s line of the leadership, has been a competent freedom militant. Comrade Sema, who is known for his highest level of commitment to the leadership, martyrs and comrades, has adapted herself to the struggle with every cell in her being, she has become a professional guerrilla and has fulfilled the duties of the current period most successfully.
Sema, who was active in many guerrilla areas, turned her face to Northern Kurdistan. Comrade Sema, who participated in all of Northern Kurdistan with all her enthusiasm and sacrifice, became a key participant for the freedom of the Kurdish people and the leadership until the last moment she had reached martyrdom.
Agırin Tekoşin, who was born in a matriotic environment in Mardin in 1990, knows the Freedom Struggle closely from a young age. Agirin, who returned to the mountains of liberty in 2014 against the assimilation and oppression of the Turkish occupation state in Kurdistan, took the place of the struggle for the freedom of our comrades, the leadership and the Kurdish people. Comrade Agırin, who undertook many tasks in the ranks of the guerrilla, fulfilled all duties and responsibilities as a competent guerrilla. Our friend Agırin, who was loved by her comrades by her fidelity, purity and smiling face, has always been a source of morale to her friends. On the basis of the Free Woman Ideology of the leadership, Agırin friend has deepened herself on this basis, turned her direction into the land of her birth. During this period, she fought heroically against the enemy forces and fought for the liberty for the freedom of the Kurdish people until the last moment.
Sema and Agırin comrades who fought heroically against the occupiers on May 8; fell in the heart of Mardin, where the peoples, languages and colors fuel the fire of freedom. Every one of their moments has been an inheritance for our struggle. In the name of the esteemed families of our two comrades, we wish for all the matriotic people of Kurdistan, and promise that the values and memories created by our dearest comrades will live, by leading the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle to victory.
