HPG-BIM have released a statement on the attacks made under the Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Assault. HPG-BİM stated that the attacks that were carried out against the occupying Turkish state was a historical hit. It has been stated that at least 16 occupying Turkish soldiers were killed in a series of actions on May 29th.
“Under the Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya, Revolutionairy Assault, our forces continue their actions against the invasion attacks. The occupying TC army, which is trying to occupy the lands of South Kurdistan and the guerrilla areas, has received heavy blows as a result of the effective actions carried out by our forces on May 29.”
HPG-BİM explained the details of the actions taken:
At 09.00, 13.00 and 14.00, our forces organized a series of actions against the occupying troops trying to move towards the Martyr Şahan Hill in the Xakurkê region. 4 soldiers were killed and one soldier was wounded in the action. After the action, the occupying TC army removed the dead and wounded soldiers from the area with Skorsky-type helicopters.
At 11.00 am, a separate action was carried out by our forces against a unit of the occupying TC army, which was attempting to be on the Martyr Botan Hill. As a result of effective retaliation, 3 Turkish soldiers were killed and 2 soldiers were wounded. The dead and injured soldiers were taken by helicopters, away from the area. The total number of enemies determined to be killed in this action is 5. The number of soldiers wounded and injured is estimated to be higher.
At 14:30, our forces organized an action against the occupants located at Lêlîkan Hill. The number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined in this action, where enemy positions and shelters were heavily fired.
At 04.15 an action was organized by our forces targeting the Şovê Police Station campus in Esendere town of Gever (Yüksekova) district of Hakkari. 2 enemy soldiers were killed in this action, in which an enemy tower was hit and destroyed.
At 15.00 hours, our forces carried out an action against the occupier TC army located at Xeregol Hill in Çelê (Çukurca) of Hakkari. Five enemy soldiers were killed in this action, where enemy shelters on the hill were completely destroyed. After the action, a fire broke out in the forested area as a result of the random bombing of the areas surrounding the occupying TC army with howitzer and mortars.
AT LEAST 9 SOLDIERS WERE KILLED IN XAKURKÊ
HPG-BİM also denied the news in the Turkish media about the conflicts in the Turkish media, saying, “The occupying Turkish army serves false information to the public through the special warfare media in order to successfully demonstrate the occupation operation it initiated”.
The statement continued as follows: “The occupiers who are faced with the effective resistance of the guerrillas, each time they lose, conceal their losses and hide their failure through news agencies. There are claims that many guerrillas have been martyred, to mislead the public with false glories. From the start of the operation, there were no guerrilla losses except our comrade Rêbaz, and the number of dead enemy soldiers that could only be detected in the Xakurke region was 9. The people of Matriotic Kurdistan and the democratic public should know that the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, in line with its mission, resists against all attacks, no matter where they come from, and leaves the colonial occupation attacks ineffective. It is evident that the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla are able to fight for our leadership’s freedom and ideology. With the power of our people, the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla act with the awareness of fulfilling their historical mission in the face of any wave of attacks that will develop in the future.”
