HPG-BİM made a written statement regarding the actions carried out on 13 and 16 May, as well as the actions organized by the guerrilla and information about the air strikes of the Turkish regime.
According to the statement, at least three soldiers were killed in Sêrt, while police at the border crossing to Iğdir had to flee to Azerbaijan.
THE SECRET UNIT AND OPERATION COORDINES WERE TARGETED
The details of the action in the Sêrt are as follows: On 13 May the occupying TC army launched an operation in the Qelanis area of Sêrt in the Baykan region with the support of secret troops. Our forces targeted a hill and carried out the operation within 2 days, on May 15, at 18.40. A total of 3 soldiers were killed and a large number of soldiers were wounded in this enemy unit, which was effectively shot from 3 separate branches at close range. After the action, the occupying TC army, which attacked the area with attack helicopters and mortars, removed their dead and wounded with Skorsky helicopters. The secret units in the operation area were withdrawn from the area. Our units have confirmed that they have safely reached their bases.
FUEL TANK IN IĞDIR
The following details were given about the action in Igdir where a fuel tank, customs directorate and police station were shot: Our Revolutionairy Success opperation is continuing in the Serhat region. The forces reported that on 16 May, 12 Oclock, a sabotage action was carried out on a tank owned by the Turkish State in Igdirs Dilucu gate.
ACTION OF CUSTOMS OFFICE AND POLICE
Simultaneously, the building and police station belonging to the customs directorate were also effectively hit by our forces. As a result of this action, all the containers in the surrounding area which belong to the police were destroyed. At this point the police who were in the area fleed to Azerbaijan.
The armored vehicles that came to intervene after the action were also hit effectively by our forces. It was observed that a large number of ambulances and armored vehicles took away the dead and wounded soldiers from the area, whos numbers remain unknown.
AIR ATTACKS
HPG-BIM, observed that the Turkish military aircrafts carried out air strikes in the Media Defence Areas. The Guerilla who have hadno losses explained the following regarding the airstrikes:
“At 15.20 am on May 15, the fighter planes bombed the Martyr Sahin area of Zap region from the Media Defense Areas. On 16th of May, the fighter planes bombed the area of Saca of Zap region at 13:30 at 17:30 and the Geliyê Avaşin area of Avaşin area which is connected to Xakurke area at 17:30.
There was no loss in these bombings”
