In the Dergili (Derto) neighborhood of Riha’s, Xelfeti district, during a clash between the HPG, YJA STAR guerrillas and the occupying Special Operations Policemen, the Deputy Chief of Special Operations was killed.
A large-scale operation began in the region after the two occupying police officers were wounded. A house in the neighborhood of Dergili was set on fire by soldiers and it was reported that every member of two families were taken into custody.
During the clashes, the entrance to the neighborhood was completely prohibited, as the operation continued,Fahri Alakuş’s house was raided at 02.00 by soldiers and police. Women in the house were injured by law enforcement agencies. Hand grenades were later thrown into the house killing two civillians.
Following the removal of the funerals in the house in the morning, the house was completely set on fire by the soldiers. According to local sources in the region, Zeki Alakuş, a resident of the same neighborhood, was reportedly detained in the house, including all children, and everyone else.
The worried neighbours watched on as the family was tortured by the soldiers whilst they were being arrested. The Alakuş family was supposedly taken into custody, but their location remains unknown.
